Process development is where KVA excels...
KVA has a wide range of on-site development equipment and tooling, as well as a separate metallurgy lab for testing. We often use the development process to ensure that the final product is 100% ready for production and this is achieved by helping us determine equipment requirements, metallurgy characteristics, and production rates.
This process includes designing and building a part specific induction coil, a makeshift fixture to hold the work piece, and several prototype or production parts.
Modifications to the coil are often discovered here and are likely required to fine tune the process of development. In some applications, the processed part will be cut to examine the heat profile and study the metallurgical results from heating.
At KVA, we believe that process development is a combination of two things: science and art. The science comes from having reliable lab equipment and facilities, while the art comes from having the correct experience and knowledge - both of which KVA has equal parts of.

KVA has a fully equipped process development work area with several systems, including a wide range of frequencies and power capabilities to handle any project.
All types of fixtures, coils, or pieces of equipment can be first proven and developed in our lab.
METALLURGICAL DEPARTMENT
KVA has a fully equipped metallurgy lab that includes everything required to test and evaluate your sample parts that are being run in our development department or during and after a purchased equipment runoff.
